Join us on Wednesday, December 3, as we close out another impactful year of Atlanta Regional Housing Forum conversations with a special gathering of leaders providing key updates on major housing initiatives across the region. This final Forum of 2025 brings together voices shaping local, regional, and countywide housing strategies—offering both reflection and a look ahead to the opportunities before us in 2026.
Guest moderator Doug Hooker will guide the discussion as we explore how our collective work continues to advance affordable housing, equity, and neighborhood revitalization in metro Atlanta.
We’ll begin with an update from Courtney English, Chief of Staff for Mayor Dickens, City of Atlanta, who will share insights on the City’s housing goals, its new Neighborhood Reinvestment Initiative, and the use of Tax Allocation Districts and other tools to expand housing access and opportunity.
Next, Natallie Keiser, Executive Director of HouseATL, will report on the coalition’s major initiatives—highlighting progress in aligning public, private, and philanthropic efforts to increase affordable housing supply and stability for Atlanta residents. Natallie will also provide a glimpse into HouseATL's legislative agenda for 2026.
Turning to the regional landscape, Sam Shenbaga of the Atlanta Regional Commission will offer updates on ARC’s Regional Housing Strategy, the Housing Leadership Academy, and the Regional Housing Task Force—illustrating how local actions fit within a coordinated, region-wide approach to addressing housing affordability.
We’ll then hear from Alan Ferguson, Chief Housing Officer for DeKalb County, who will outline the county’s growing commitment to strengthen housing policy, partnerships, and access—an important milestone in advancing equitable development throughout one of the region’s largest and most diverse communities.
To close, we’ll turn the conversation over to our audience for a discussion and polling session on potential 2026 forum topics, ensuring that future gatherings continue to reflect the interests and priorities of our network.
As always, the Atlanta Regional Housing Forum serves as a space for open dialogue, collaboration, and shared progress toward housing opportunity for all. We invite you to join us as we celebrate a year of hard work, partnerships, and impact—and set the stage for the conversations to come.
